She was a little uneasy as she mounted the broom on the space that was left behind him, but she did none the less. It wasn't that she was afraid of height, no, it was him that frightened her. She'd lost so many friends in the past few years that she was starting to get scared to become close to people anymore. She mounted the broom and wrapped her arms around his waist and laid her head on his back, she waited for the jolt that would signal that they had left the ground. It came sooner than she had thought it was going to, but she was okay, she wasn't panicing or anything.
She tightened her grip around Chase's waist and lifed her head from his back hoping that she wouldn't freakout at seeing the height that they were at. There were lights all below them, it was beyond words, she had never seen the houses and such below at night, most of the time she traveled durring the day which was why this journey was different for her.
"Chase?" she said after minutes of silence, she wasn't exactly sure how much time had passed between their departure and the current moment, but it seemed like forever, "I hope you don't mind my asking," she paused there and hoped silently to herself that this question didn't annoy him, "but do you know how much longer it's going to be?" she asked him politely.
She looked at his profile as she waited for him to answer, maybe he hadn't heard her. She doubted that, maybe he was just trying to come up with an answer for her.
It was still very dark outside, by now she would have been lost with no hope of finding her way back or anyone finding her. She didn't really have a since of direction, and that in her opinion was a bad thing, but there was no way to fix it.
Everything was blurry as they passed, trees, houses, it was all one big beautiful blur. She wasn't quite sure why she was so amazed with such normal things, but she couldn't help it, and so many times she had heard people say, 'appreciate the little things in life,' and that was exactly what she was doing.
((Woo hoo, my brain seemed to have come back for the time being.))

Chase closed his eyes briefly as they travelled in a line. He breathed in deep and opened his eyes just as she asked him the question.
"how much longer? hmm.. probably about... 3 minutes, So hold on tight, I'm getting anxious" He laughed as he finished.
He leaned forward just a bit and the speed of the broom picked up quick. by then, they were probably travelling at 110-130mph through the dark sky. Lucky for him, with all the night tasks he'd been one over that last two years, left him with a pretty good sense of direction and memory.
Just passing over a thick but not very big forest, there were a few big dark buildings. He took a gentle dive and eventually had them land on the roof. "Okay, nevermind, 1 and a half minutes." He said smirking. Not moving, but waiting for her to safely dismount.

When they landed she felt it before she saw it, she didn't realize what had happened for a second until she heard him saying something about one and a half minutes. He was hesitant about realeasing her grasp, she had a sort of phobia about the broom taking off by itself. She kne that it was sill, but she couldn't help it, he mind work oddly, she portrayed her self as unafraid and uncaring when in realility she was inface afraid of lots of things and very caring.
She planted her feet firmly on the ground when she had dismounted the broom, her legs felt like jello. That just seemed to be what happened when you hadn't had your feet onthe ground for more than five minutes.
She stood there patiently waiting for him, even if she had known where is room was she wouldn't have just left him there, that was rude. Some girls did that very thing, they were rude, all the time no matter what their consequences were.

As she dismounted, he did the same. now he held the broom striaght up, like one would hold a broom regularly. Smiling and beginning to walk towards the door he motioned for her to follow. "Now lets get in side before we get sick" He said.
He held the door open for her. "ladies first" Then as she went in, he followed. The door had led to a stairwell, leading down. It was a Slytherin thing to always have everything important underground or in a basement type place. With fire for light, no sun light. Many of them were also night people. {{sorry so short }}

She went in ahead of him, but then let him lead the way seeing that she had no earthly idea where it was she was going. It seemed the farther fown she went the colder it and darker it got, but seeing as they were going underground neither of those things came as a suprise to her.
She was glad now that she had Chase's jacker otherwise she would be freezing. She still rubbed her arms. The cold seemed to be going right through her clothes although it didn't seem to phase Chase, but of course it wouldn't seein as it was his room they were headed to.
It was getting so dark now that she could barely see infront of her face. She grabbed the back of Chase's shirt to make sure she didn't loose him, for all she knew there could be three headed dogs and god know what else all the way down there.

{{Sorry about my brief absence, I needed to give my bangs a quick trim, it kept poking into mah eyes *snicker* Yes, I cut my own hair. =] }} Chase lead the way down the stairs, small shivers went down his neck and back as she grabbed onto the back of his shirt. It felt funny, so instead he just reached back with his right hand and took her hand in his.
Finally as they reached level ground, they walked through a very dimly lit corridor. "only a few doors down from here. He said aloud. With his left hand, he pulled his want out of his jeans pocket, getting ready to open his door.
"Don't worry we can make it warm in my room, I have a fireplace and a fuzzy black carpet thats really warm and comfy" He said almost like an excited child.
{{My next post will be down in Chase's Room section *nodnod* }}

She was a little starttled at first when he grabbed her hand, she jerked a little bit and then relaxed. She wasn't use to people doing things for her, usually she had to grab hold of things or people in this case, if she needed to be lead.
Thankgoodness, they were almost there, she felt as though she was starting to get frostbite, she knew it wasn't really that cold but she didn't really like the cold, never had.
She nodded and smiled although she doubted that he could see it, but maybe he could since it, she wasn't sure, and it really didn't matter. "Fuzzy and warm, I like the sound of that." she giggled a little bit, there went her mind again, makeing everything seem wrong, but she let it pass quickly.
