"No, I'll do what I like!"
In a final attempt to gain control over her, her mother reached for Elladora's arm, but before her fingers could close around her arm, Ella was gone. She felt that strange sensation of being sqeezed from all sides and then everything was normal again and she was looking at a long street before her. She was used to this kind of fight with her mother, it happened so often. The two of them just didn't get along all that well, especially since Ella's father was her favorite. Her mother wasn't as into the Dark Lord as her father and herself were... Not that she wasn't loyal to him, it was just that she wasn't exactly thrilled that he ruled the wizarding world with an iron fist. Really, though, there is no better way to rule people.
Elladora smoothed her dress and set off down the street towards The Three Broomsticks. She had nothing better to do, so she figured that she was going to get a drink and just relax in Hogsmeade for a little while. Eventually she would either go back home or someone would come looking for her. This was probably a once a week occurrence. Ella had always found it harder to get along with her mother because she seemed to have less of a tolerance for her antics. Just at that moment a little boy with an arm full of sweets in his possession ran into her.
"Oi, watch yourself there! This is a new dress!"
She checked the fabric to make sure that it wasn't stained or anything and left the boy to collect his items. So she was a bit materialistic and somewhat vain, but what girl wasn't? She was used to boys holding doors open for her and paying for her drinks, telling her how beautiful she was, all the likes. It was the treatment that every girl really deserved. She smiled at the boy holding the door to the Three Broomsticks and swept past him. Without looking she knew where his eyes traveled as she walked away, and so she whipped around with her wand out.
"You watch where you're looking, mister. I'm not that kind of girl."
Most of the time, she really didn't mind it, but this boy just seemed like he could be trouble and that was not what she was in the mood for. Elladora quietly stowed her wand away again, and then sat down at a table. She quietly motioned for a drink and the bartender brought her a butterbeer. Looking around the room, she noticed that there were a lot of people that she didn't encounter on a daily basis. Presumably, they were not big supporters of The Dark Lord, so she made a mental note of telling him about all the drab characters that were inhabiting this area without reporting to him. She crossed her legs and smoothed her dress over them before slowly taking a sip of her drink. A smile played across her lips as she sat at the table, daydreaming a bit.
[definitely not my best, but I haven't RPed in a while]

All in a rut, Chase Malfoy strode through the people in hogsmeade not really caring who he bumped into or who he recognized. bloody hell, I can't believe it.. He thought to himself angrily. Finally making his way into the Three Broomstiks, he strode right past a couple of people he knew, but at this point he was just not in the mood for many people.
As he reached the main bar, he made eye contact with the bartender and made a 'come here' gesture at him and sighed before speaking.
"One shot of fireball on the rocks and then a butter beer, thanks" Not believing he would deny him the privilege. Knowing the man knew who his father was.
The thing was, that just previously Chase had agreed to play a game of muggle soccer with a few of his mates and ended up losing. And any that knew Chase, knew it was in the blood for him not to take losing very well. Especially when it came to soccer, Chase was quite talented at the game and rarely lost to anyone.
As quick as the shot appeared before him, he picked it up and shot it back quick. Being used to taking such shots at home, not that he was an alcoholic, but from time to time, a casual shot added a certain glisten to a day. Not even making a face at the taste, he casually glanced down each side of the bar he was sitting at. Now it was quite unlike him to miss someone a stunning as Elladora, but when he was seeing red, it was easy to miss alot of what was really going on around him. The truth was she was his crush, hopefully she noticed him before to long, he sure could use have used someone to cheer him up after losing a game like that. As almost any true guy, he took losing hard, and struggled with it.

"Hey pretty lady, mind if I buy you a drink?"
She heard some older man grumble at her. He snaked his hand out to make a grab at her behind, but she quickly smacked it away. She could smell the alcohol on his breath and wasn't too pleased that she was being hit on by a drunk. She shoved him away as he got closer and pulled out her wand again.
"Leave me alone."
When she was finally left alone again, she stowed the wand away for the second time, and then turned her attention around to others in the room again. Just as she glanced over at the door to the Three Broomsticks, it burst open with a slight bang and in walked Chase Malfoy. Elladora expected him to notice her sitting there, and maybe to come over to sit with her, but no, he just walked right up to the bar without even a glance in her direction. That was a bit of a letdown for her. She had met Chase for the first time when they were little, because their parents were friends, and so they were kind of like friends by extension of family. Or something like that... At current she had an attraction to him that she couldn't ignore. Something inside of her one day just decided that he was crush worthy. That was her one downfall, when she had a crush on someone. She was less of an intimidation and more of a girly girl.
She watched Chase intently, seeing him throw back a shot like it was his job. Yes, this boy was quite interesting in her eyes. Maybe it was her attraction to more of the "bad boy" type that made her even more interested due to the fact that he seemed to be seething about something and the way he threw back that shot. She shrugged it off and looked away just as he looked at her... It wasn't polite to stare after all. She then turned her head back and acted as if she just noticed him there. A smile appeared again and she wiggled her fingers in a wave before picking up her drink and making her way over to him.
"Chase, how are you?"
She greeted him with a smile and took a seat on a stool at the bar, setting her drink back down in front of her. Elladora was normally used to people speaking to her first, but Chase was worth it enough to make an effort. Although she wasn't exactly happy that he hadn't noticed her when he came in. Still, she could forgive him. There was a glint of agitation in his eyes, and she noticed it. With genuine concern, she looked him over before asking her question.
"What is it that had you practically breaking the door down when you came in?"

Chase then took a big drink of his butterbeer as if he hadn't had a drink of liquid in a day. Then he sighed, almost coming to grips with the fact that he could not go back in time and play the game all over again. Still feeling irritated though, its just so hard to let go.
"Chase, how are you?" He heard. Instantly knowing that voice.
"meh.." Was all he could manage to to say to the question.
"What is it that had you practically breaking the door down when you came in?" Her genuine concern, almost as if a remedy, made his anger sub-side a bit. But the frustration still audible in his voice.
"The truth? Well, I just finished a muggle soccer game."
He said then looking towards her, now looking into her eyes. To let her see his expression and the almost hurt look in his eyes.
"Bloody goalie was half asleep at the end of the game, almost got in a fight with the opposing forward of me, he kept getting all up in my face and giving me cheep shots" He said with disdain as he pointed to left corner of his jaw.
Now looking at her lovely face continued to sub-side his anger, yet with the result of him being able to feel the pains on his body.

She listened intently to his description of what happened at his soccer game, and could tell that it was helping him release his anger a bit to talk about it. She was kind of curious as to what he was talking about, though. She wasn't the most educated on the subject of sports, especailly the muggle kinds, but she understood the fact that he was not happy and that he had been hit. When he looked into her eyes, her stomach did a little flip. Then, when he motioned towards his jaw, she quickly reached up and turned his face a little so that she could get a better view of it.
"Oh, ouch. Him hitting you did this?"
Elladora put her hands back down into her lap, hoping that she hadn't just crossed a line... She wasn't exactly sure if Chase was okay with her touching him. Her face turned a little pink and she looked down at where her hands lay resting, trying to remove the color before he noticed. She didn't like how shy she could be with him. When with a regular boy she was a very bold girl with not an ounce of shyness, but with a crush everything is different. She reached for her butterbeer and took a small drink before looking up again finally.
"Anyway, what is it about soccer that interests you? It's a muggle game... Is it really fun or something?"
She tilted her head a little bit, hoping that the slight tension that she had created would go away in a few seconds. Her curiosity overcame her will to not want to look uneducated, though and so she finally asked the question that had been irking her since he started talking.
"What are goalies and forewards?"
[Ugh, bad post! Sorry.]

(nah, I liked it, it was good)
Chase's eyes followed her as she turned his head to get a better look at the bruise. Her warm soft hands felt nice against his skin, and he coudln't help but close his eyes for an extra second, savouring the feeling. opening his eyes again, he looked at her and smiled slightly at her curious question. It was great to hear that she actually had been listening and seemed interested in knowing what the game he liked so much was about.
"Well, you know how I've always been a good runner? Its a game that involves lots of running and agility. Accuracy too, but instead of with your arms like quidditch, its with your feet, and their only one ball everyones after. And the field is a biiig rectangle, with two nets on either end. And the objective is to steal the ball from your opponents and kick the ball into their net."
He explained as best he could, without saying to much, not wanting to bore her. He knew that not many purebloods like himself approved of him playing a muggle game. But it was the only one he'd ever taken intrest in. Finally as he started to talk to her, his anger was almost completely gone, and he actually smiled. That signature Malfoy side grin, with the attentive gaze to fit with it.
"..And a goalie is one person who protects the nets for their team, there can only be one goalie. And a forward is one of 3 or 4 people, depending on how many peope are playing, who play at the half way mark on the field, and can go onto the opposing side of the field and try to score goals on the other net." He finished answering her question. Then taking two big gulps of butterbeer to wet his mouth. Now his mood was deffinately on the rise. He decided to turn his body fully in her direction, always preferring to be polite, especially when it came to someone like Elladora. He'd liked her for quite sometime, since he was about 15.

She nodded as she listened to his explaination of the game. It sounded like it was a bit complicated, but she thought that she understood well enough. When he smiled, she grinned right back.
"There's that smile that I like so much."
She couldn't help but to say it. Elladora was just glad that he had finally started to look like the Chase that she liked to see. She continued to listen to him go on about what a goalie and a foreward were. Apparently they were both positions that people played, kind of like a keeper and chaser from the sound of it.
"Oh, okay. I think I get it now... You'll have to let me watch you play one day. It sounds like it could be an interesting thing to watch."
When he was done explaining, she took a small sip of her drink again and watched as he turned his whole body towards her. That was just like Chase, to be so polite as to give her his undivided attention. She appreciated this... In fact, it was something that she loved.
"So, anyway, how is everything else, besides the game? Mother said that we might be hosting a dinner party with your family soon."
She smiled, enjoying the idea of having Chase over her home. He was pleasant company, just the kind that she liked to have. It was curious that they didn't get together even more often than they did, although with all the things that she had to do for the Death Eaters, it was kind of hard to find some free time. Today seemed to be a fluke in her busy schedule.

Chase smiled even more when she commented on his smile. Only because she smiled while saying it though. And theres that smile I love so much.. He thought to himself as his gaze remained on her, but while his right hand raised to his mouth and he downed another 1/4 of the drink.
"You'll have to let me watch you play one day." Rung in his ears and instantly triggered a blush. surely to be quite noticable.
Just the thought of her beautiful face there watching him run around and getting dirty just gave him butterflies. Seeing her slightly perk as he turned his body towards her made him smirk. He couldn't help it, he enjoyed giving her his attention, for he knew she loved attention in general. Upon her invitation/notice of the dinner party his butterflies grew bigger wings in hus stomach.
"Oh really now? hmm. My father hadn't mentioned anything to me. But I know I'd be my pleasure to have dinner with you. Also, its kindof funny you mention a dinner party, my mother is hosting a dinner this friday aswell, I'd be honored if you could make it..?"
He asked, slightly sheepish, quite unlike him actually. He had very few fears, he faught guys twice his size, trenched around in the forest at night, flew his broom hundreds of feet in the air, and this of all things made him feel sheepish.
"aside from the dinners, w-what are you up to this evening..?" He dared ask her. Bloody hell, what am I thinking? Shes so beautiful and busy, what would she want to do with me!? I'm loony, absolutely crazy. Thank merlin I've already had a drink.. He thought nervously in his head.

The fact that she could make him blush made Elladora strangely happy. She grinned a little, but pretended not to notice for his sake. It was truely adorable to see him blushing, though. She was a bit disappointed to hear that her mother hadn't passed the message on yet about the dinner party, she had hoped that it would be soon, but his quick mention of his family's own party made her smile more.
"Friday night? I'd love to come!"
It was a comforting thought to know that he had extended this invitation to her, not his father inviting her family. The way that he had extended the invitation was quite entertaining as well. It was presented in a sort of timid voice, almost sounding to her as if he were afraid she might reject him. Nonsense, she thought to herself. Chase is one of the most fearless boys I've ever met, there is no way that I could possibly be frightening to him. Soon, though, she heard him speak again, and this time he seemed to trip a bit over his words. What was this that was going on? Chase, the smooth talker was very anxious sounding today.
"Oh, well, this is about it."
She motioned to the room around them.
"You see, I was planning on a quiet evening in, but mother and I got into a heated argument about what I should and shouldn't be doing, and it got to the point where I just couldn't take her any more... You've met her, you know how she can be so stubbornly stuck in her ways..."
She lowered her voice a little bit so that no one around them would be eavesdropping on their conversation before she continued, because there were still some who were willing to murder any of the Death Eaters in a heartbeat.
"Well, anyway, she wasn't going to let me participate in the next round of meetings and I said that she was being unreasonable. I am of age now and it's my decision to make, not her's I told her. Honestly, I'm considering moving out soon just to get away from her."
Ella shrugged a little, to say that it really wasn't that big of a deal. Just normal family issues.
"How about you? Anything exciting planned? Or are we both uninteresting this evening?"

Chase mentally gave his head a shake and tried to control his blushing, yet upon hearing that she'd come to the dinner at his home on friday night almost hit him like a bucket of cold water.
"really!?" He couldn't help but say. Unable to hide the slight suprise in his voice.
He glanced around as she motioned to the room, as if he was checking to make sure nothing mch out of the normal was going on. Finally regaining his courage, he smirked a bit, in a pleasant way. Hearing about her and her mothers heated argument almost had him feeling slightly concerned.
"Ah yes, your mother, shes a good person, but at times I find that really is a piece of work. Not to leave my own mother out of course, she can really be quite the battle axe when she wants to be." He chuckled and took another drink. Actually, he drowned the rest of his drink right then.
Upon placing the drink down, Chase looked to the bartender and made another 'come here' gesture with his had and grinned.
"Hey pal, could I get another fireball on the rocks, another one here for the lady too, .. If she wishes..?" He said, then glancing in her direction for an answer. Offering her a drink, on him.
"Hmm, you know if that actually ended up happening, you know back at the manor, we have extra rooms if you'd like a nice place to stay. Plus, it wouldn't be a problem because my father and mother are actually quite fond of you.." He said with a smile, Not trying to sound like he wanted it to happen, but wanting her to know she was always welcome. A rarity from a Malfoy.

"Oh, yeah, it'll be loads of fun."
She nodded and grinned. She always enjoyed the time that she spent at the Malfoy home. Everyone there was so nice to her always. They seemed to approve of her and made her feel welcome always. His comparison of his own mother to an axe caused her to let out a partially stifled laugh.
"Maybe it's just all mothers that are like that..."
Chase then offered her another drink. With any other boy she might be skeptical that this was just a ploy to get her drunk, but she knew that she could trust him well enough that even if she did get drunk he wouldn't take advantage of her. Still, Ella thought for a moment about it. She knew that if she had too much she could get a bit wild, but the offer was worth taking so she nodded again.
"Yes, I'd like one. Thank you so much, Chase."
The newly set invitation to stay over his house should she decide to leave her own was a surprise to her. Elladora had not expected to hear that one. Never before had she heard of any of the Malfoys extending an overnight invitation to someone who was not blood related. It made her feel even more worthy in his eyes.
"That's so sweet of you to offer. I might just take you up on it and stay for a few nights... At least until I find a place of my own to stay if I do decide to move out."
She smiled again, feeling very warm inside. It was one of the best feelings, knowing that she was welcomed into his home, at least by him. Sure, he had said that his parents would be okay with her staying at his house, but she would never make definite plans until she had a chance to talk to them about it. Unless her mother kicked her out of the house, she probably wouldn't be leaving for at least a couple of weeks. Still, the prospect of staying over Chase Malfoy's home was probably enough to make any girl jealous.
[sorry it took so long]

[ah, no worries. its all good. *snick*] Chase smiled and nodded to the bartender. "Alright, ya heard the lady, we'll both have one on the rocks." Chase didn't like shots inless they were nice and cold by the company of ice.
Grinning at her, he couldn't help but glance her over, she was quite a sight for sore eyes. And the thought of her staying at his home gave him an almost excited feeling in his gut. Either it was that, or the fact that he'd already taken a sho and was about to buy one for her too.
"That's so sweet of you to offer. I might just take you up on it and stay for a few nights... At least until I find a place of my own to stay if I do decide to move out." She said.
"Well, I'm just thinking, I know that my old room right next to my current one is still quite livable and recently renovated aswell. Usually only my mother stayed in there from time to time when her and my father arn't on good terms. But I'm sure they wouldn't mind even if you needed to stay for lets say.. a month or however long." He nodded politely, then flashing her his signature grin, but the thing was, he couldn't really help it, she made him smile.
As the shots appeared before them, he took his in hand and gave a curt nod to the bartewnder before shooting the shot back like he had done before. Not making a face, but making a sound after instead.
"oh yah, that hits the spot nicely.. I love weekends." he mentioned.

Ella took hold of the shot and downed it with ease. She was very well experienced with alcohol, although she wasn't known for drinking, she did it often enough. He mentioned that she could stay in his old room for however long she needed. The thought of staying in the room next door to Chase made her stomach do a little flip as she looked at him grinning at her. She watched him down his shot and then held back a laugh for his comments.
"I love the weekends, too."
Shrugging, Ella starting fiddling with the hem of her dress in her lap. She was trying, but failing at coming up with something to say. There was a moment of slightly tensed silence during which she avoided making any eye contact. Finally, she looked back up at him, which caused another round of the butterflies flapping in her stomach. Then, finally, she came up with something to say to break the silence.
"So besides your soccer game, what were you up to today?"
She tilted her head a little to go with her question. Ella could tell that this was not one of her better conversations, but it was probably just because both of them seemed a bit nervous... She wasn't sure what he was nervous about, but for her his presence was enough.

Chase Malfoy, could start to feel a hint of heat in his stomach as the moments went on. But to him, this was nothing, not that he was a hard drinker, he was just hoping the liquid confidence would give him better insight to what to talk about.
"Bartender, could I get another shot on the rocks?" He said, not actually looking at the bartender, but at the clock high on the wall. "would you like another one aswell? or anything, for that matter?" He offered.
Chase wasn't trying to get her drunk, he wasn't that kind of guy. First of all, he wasn't the type to ever even carry a drunk person, or take care of a drunk person. Although, she was a whole other matter, if from these drinks she became tipsy or drunk, Chase not only would he stay her but also be compelled to help her as needed.
As another shot appeard, he smiled and nodded a thanks to the bartender. Then before deciding to down it, he looked to Elladora and couldn't help but star for an extra moment.
"Well, aside from the soccer game, I have no actual idea... I was just planning on letting the chips fall where they may." He said already thinking to himself that it would be quite amazing if it were possible to spend the rest of his day with her.
"How about you? have you got something better to do, ..or maybe if ya like.. um, we could do something?" He asked with a bit more confidence than previous questions. He couldn't help but smile too, she was just so lovely to look at, it actually gave him butterflies.

Elladora decided inside her head that one more shot couldn't hurt. She was reasoning with herself that that light amount of alcohol would affect her too much, although she knew she would be slightly inebriated, but that just made the whole night a bit more fun.
"Sure, I'll take one more."
Every time there was some silence between them, Ella wondered what was going through his head. She could see in his eyes that he was thinking, but she had no idea what he might be thinking about. It was intriguing to play this guessing game. She felt a slight blush rise in her cheeks as he looked at her for just a moment longer than was proper. The time difference between just looking and staring was crossed in that moment. The bartender passed her a shot and she let it sit on the counter for a moment while he talked.
"I have nothing to do today at all. It's kind of mind numbing to be this inactive. It's not characteristic of me."
She looked him over at his suggestion of maybe they could do something together. Hearing those words made her thankful that she had bothered to go over to talk to him in the first place. Ella loved doing things with Chase. He made them more fun for her, no matter what it was. Even the simplest thing seemed like a joy to her when she was with him.
"Hm... I think that would be an excellent idea, but what will we do? Do you have any ideas?"
Searching her brain for something to throw out there for an activity of the day, Elladora came up empty. She hoped that maybe Chase had something up his sleeve or else they would be those people who make plans without the slightest clue what they will do. She wasn't a big fan of those sorts of people, because without plans things didn't tend to go very smoothly.
